Hey this is cool! Love that fighting expression. The feet and pose feels a little stiff; perhaps its the feet, or the lack of a grounding line. But excellent anyways. Can't wait to see how you develop from here!

Oh I really love your coloring, and the chouce of colors you used. And teh lighting! Very cool! For air armor it seems a little bulky. But cool none the less!

Tomycase responds:

Maybe the name is a misnomer, but the global idea was a flying/battling armor.
Thanks ~

Oh this is such a cool idea! Really creative the way you executed this theme. Great work!

Nersul responds:

thank you very much

This is soooo cool. Love the conceptualization.

What a cool style! The face creeps me out a little bit, but hell. You obviously know your way arounda digital palette. Keep up the good work!

oh so nice! The lighting and lineart is really clean! The only sadness I have about this piece is the background. Are those stock photo clouds that have been blurred? They look like it and if they arnt, then wow you're photo realistic. But there's a bit of dissonance here, and I think either illustrating the clouds yourself, or at least following the same shading structure would help to bring the two together.

Hell though, this is gorgeous. Keep up the good work!

I used ps brushes for the clouds

This is beautiful! I love the expression on the character, as well as her pose and how intense she seems to be. Your movement on the character feels a little stiff. The back arm that is outstretched it superb, and I love the motion of the water as well, but the scarf doesn't follow the same line of action, nor does the hand in front of her mouth.

There is also some contrasting, color and atmospheric issues. You've put so much beautiful detail into the snake, but a lot of that gets lost. If the body is extending into the background far away, why not try and make those colors more muted? Less white. This will help to push the foreground a little bit better.

Be wary about using true black and true white in your illustrations, they can really flatten a piece.

But don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound like a hard ass. I see a lot of great potential here. A really thought provoking piece as far as inspiration goes. Really like the ideas you've displayed here, and I can't wait to see you develop your art further!

Haha! What a funny expression, but a real style is developed here and I absolutely love it. Your coloring technique is quite beautiful and unique as well. I've never heard of Artrage. Is it any good?

That hair gets a little lost with the dark background, but other than that, real spiffy. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your input! ^_^

Artrage Studio is great! I love the way it mimics real paint and other media; plus, the fact that you can open/use Photoshop files and filters makes it easier to do exactly what you want with a piece, instead of having to settle for something that you didn't really envision.

Also, I was kind of worried about the hair too...but the look ended up growing on me.

Oh wow! NIce color, great atmosphere. Really love the lighting, and the type of brush that you used. I find myself wishing for more background depth, but at the same time, this seems something more like a speed painting, or just something more conceptual, so it works. Your hands are beautiful too. Love the pose and how natural it feels. Surely, some great talent displayed here. Keep up the good work!

I very much like the concept of this piece, and your black and white work is really pretty. The character looks really interesting; great design!

There is some dissonance though between the subject and hand. I see what you were trying to do with making the photo blend with your illustration, and lowering the opacity, but it didn't quite work. Something that you could maybe try in the future would be to use the same lineart that you used for your character. Trace the hand as if it was a cartoon. Maybe do some LIGHT rotoscoping. Or perhaps actually illustrate the pencil, and then have the rest fade to photo.

Either way though, your character's lineart is really quite nice, and I love how fine and detailed the wings are, despite the lack of shading and definition. I'll have to check out the rest of your gallery.

Well done, and keep up the good work!

Just trying to be better than I was in 2012.
